Terms of service

These terms apply to everyone who uses Endless Receipt. By browsing the receipt or paying to add a line to it, you agree to them and to the receipt rules, which form part of these terms. If you do not agree, please just read the receipt and enjoy it for free.

To pay for a line you must be legally capable of entering into this transaction where you live, and you must be authorised to use the payment method you use. If your local law sets a minimum age for entering contracts or making payments, you must meet it.

Endless Receipt is a novelty entertainment website consisting of one public receipt. Anyone can read it for free. If you choose to, you can pay to add a single numbered line — a name, a short message, and optionally a link — to that receipt.

That line is the product. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, no software licence, no recurring billing, no marketplace, and no payouts to anyone.

If you include a destination, your line additionally carries a public outbound link on this site, which is a form of promotional placement. That placement is the whole of what the payment adds. You are not buying a physical item, a service, advertising inventory, guaranteed traffic, clicks, leads, customers, revenue, search ranking or SEO value, business outcomes, continued prominence anywhere on this site, or any endorsement by us. We do not promise that anyone will see, click, or act on your line.

A qualifying linked receipt also participates in Receipt Leaders, an ordered list of destinations by total qualifying spend, for as long as it qualifies. Position there is a function of what other people happen to buy: anyone may outspend you at any time, without notice, and your position may fall or disappear as a result. No position is reserved, guaranteed, sold, or refundable, and there is no minimum placement.

Receipt Leaders is competitive promotional placement and nothing else. It is not an investment, a security, a lottery, a prize draw, a competition with a prize, or a gambling product. Nothing is paid out, awarded, or returned on the basis of ranking, and appearing on it confers no right to anything.

• ·Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• ·The minimum is $1.00 USD. Above that you choose the amount. Prices are in US dollars.
• ·Every payment is a single one-time purchase. Nothing recurs.
• ·You may be charged applicable taxes or fees depending on where you are.

A receipt number is assigned only after Stripe confirms your payment. Numbers are sequential, are allocated one at a time, and are never reused — including where a line is later voided under section 9.

We intend published lines to stay published. That permanence is the whole point of the site. It is an intention rather than an absolute guarantee: we retain the ability to moderate content, and to suspend, change, or retire the service.

You keep whatever rights you already have in the name, message, and link you submit. By submitting them you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, and distribute them on this site and in material about the site, for as long as we operate it. That licence exists only so we can show your line on the receipt.

You confirm you have the right to submit what you submit, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

The names shown on the receipt are labels typed by whoever paid for that line. We do not verify identity, affiliation, authority, or trademark rights, and duplicate names are allowed. A name appearing on the receipt does not mean that person, company, or organisation submitted it, paid for it, or endorses anything. The prohibited categories are listed in the receipt rules and are part of these terms. You also agree not to attempt to bypass validation, rate limits, moderation, or payment, not to automate submissions or scrape the site at a disruptive rate, and not to attack its availability.

We may refuse, remove, or void any line, and disable any outbound link, at any time and at our discretion — including after payment. When a line is voided its content stops being published and is replaced with *** VOID ***. The number itself stays on the receipt permanently and is never reissued.

Voiding content or disabling a link is not by itself a ground for a refund. See section 12.

Anyone can report a line for review. We read reports and decide what to do about them. Submitting a report does not guarantee that anything will be removed or changed.

Destinations on the receipt are submitted by other users. We apply format and safety rules when one is submitted and we can disable any link, or an entire destination, afterwards — which also removes it from Receipt Leaders — but we do not operate, review, monitor, or endorse them. Our checks are not a guarantee that any site is safe, and a destination can change after it is accepted. Following an external link is your own decision and your own risk.

There is no ownership verification. Submitting a destination is not a claim that you own or represent it, and a destination appearing on a receipt does not indicate any relationship between that destination and the person who paid, or between it and us. The same destination may appear on any number of receipts.

When a destination is submitted we retrieve that page from our own servers to read its public title, description and icon. That information, together with anything you write, is published on the receipt. Removing a link does not remove the receipt or its number.

Purchases are generally final, because we fulfil them by publishing your line to the public receipt.

We will consider a refund where:

• ·you were charged more than once for the same line
• ·a technical failure on our side prevented fulfilment
• ·payment was collected but the receipt was never printed
• ·a refund is required by applicable law

Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the law that applies to you. To ask about a refund, email wasted@endlessreceipt.com with your receipt number.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time.

We can also stop accepting new purchases at any moment — for maintenance, abuse, or any other reason. When that happens the receipt stays readable, existing lines stay visible, and the site simply reports that the printer is temporarily offline. No payment is taken while it is off.

We rely on third parties to run the site: Stripe for payments, Supabase for database and backend infrastructure, and Vercel for hosting and application infrastructure. Their handling of data is covered by their own terms and policies, and is described further in our privacy policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any line will remain published for any particular period.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the site is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under consumer protection law that applies to you.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes are not applied retroactively to a purchase you have already made.
